Well my hope of not having chemo at all is fizzling out. I had my follow-up appointment with the Surgical Oncologist this morning and she informed us that the pathology/grade etc. of my tumor and the results of the Oncotype test does indicate I’d benefit from doing chemo in addition to the hormone treatment (Tamoxifen). She referred me to a Medical Oncology group to discuss and see what their recommendations would be.
That was a bit of a blow to the open wound gut! But if it’s gonna keep me on earth longer to nag and annoy, I suppose it’s worth it.
Dene you blog is amazing! I’m loving it. So sorry you got this shitty news but just think, it’s an opportunity to be sure to kick cancer’s ass and be sure to get it. I know you’ve got this and don’t forget… we’ve always got you. Even from afar. Love you cuz
