Home Sweet Home

I just got home and went straight to my bed, in hopes of getting several uninterrupted hours of sleep. Unless the family secretly owns a vitals cart, I might be in luck. I guess it’s good the Nurses & their damn vital checking machine stop by because twice when they checked in the middle of the night, my oxygen level was 80-85, supposed to be 94. Therefore I was on oxygen the rest of the night. Not a major deal, probably due to meds??‍♀️

Today I was able to shower which was amazing. I had a bit of a meltdown when seeing my body for the first time. I know that the surgeons will tweak a couple times and make me whole again, but it was a little rough.

BUT the GREAT news is that immediately following my shower, I received word that the cancer was NOT found in the Sentinel Node biopsy ?

One final lab test on the tumor & tissue that they removed and we’ll have a final answer on chemo. Thus far, it’s looking like I won’t need to do it.

Shout out to Dawn for my awesome (EFF CAN CER) sweatshirt that was a must-wear while being wheeled out of the hospital. I came home to more flowers and gifts from friends. Thanks again to everyone for the prayers, kind words & support?
